At Indwell Solutions LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), we operate the StudentMate application ("the Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection, use, and disclosure.

Core Privacy Commitment: We do not store your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as phone numbers, email addresses, or real names in our systems.

1. Information Retrieval & Storage

We adhere to a strict data minimization policy:

  • Authentication via Third-Party Providers: We use secure third-party authentication providers (such as Google Firebase®) to manage user sign-in. When you sign up or log in, you provide your credentials (such as email or phone number) directly to these providers. We do not store or have access to your passwords.Our system only receives and stores a unique, randomly generated User ID (UID) token to identify your account session.
  • No PII Storage: We do not collect or store your contact details (email, phone number) or physical address in our application databases. Any personal information required for authentication remains with the third-party provider.
  • Voluntary User Inputs: You may voluntarily provide information in your conversations with our AI. We advise you not to share sensitive personal or confidential information in your chat inputs.

2. Artificial Intelligence Processing

Our Service leverages advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) from third-party providers (e.g., OpenAI®, Anthropic®, or Google®).

  • Data Transmission: Your input text is transmitted securely to these third-party AI providers solely to generate a response.
  • Disclaimer: While we implement safety guidelines, AI models can occasionally produce unpredictable, inaccurate, or biased outputs ("hallucinations").

3. Usage Data & Analytics

We may collect anonymous, non-identifiable technical data to improve our Service, including:

  • Device type and operating system.
  • App crash reports and performance metrics.
  • Aggregate usage statistics.

4. Data Retention

We retain the anonymous UID and your conversation history only as long as necessary to provide the Service. To remove all your content and chat history, click the History button and choose Delete All. If you still need help, contact support to request deletion of your account and associated data.

5. Disclosure of Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data. We may disclose anonymized data only:

  • To trusted third-party service providers (e.g., database hosting, cloud services) bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
